Shipping Affairs Supervisor Job description: Container base Cargos: ● Handling container bookings with shipping lines, NVOCC. ● Preparing all relevant documents: B/L, COO, PL, CI, etc. ● Corresponding with relevant Shipping lines, Clients, etc. ● Source and communicate with shipping lines to put orders and arrange the shipments. ● Prepare and handle all necessary documentation for shipping documents, custom affairs, commercial registration, and banking procedures. ● Track shipping documents. ● Track the arrival of the load from the origin to the destination. ● Cooperate with shipping lines to pick up the containers properly. ● Negotiate to cut the extra charges of demurrage, detention, and local charges. ● Perform daily shipment operations. ● Realize sales targets and execute sales strategies as it’s been laid out. ● Monitor the successful execution of the customer’s shipment. ● Monitor and evaluate the competitive market situation relevant to shipping affairs. ● Report to the commercial director. ● Maximize sales growth from existing customers through compatible freight rates. ● Control and follow up on all shipping activities (financial, shipping, insurance, releasing, quality control, and feedback). ● Communicate with the sales team. ● Provide comprehensive reports for the managing team. ● Go to meetings with different shipping companies. ● Schedule shipping time. ● Maintain records of all invoices and transactions relevant to the shipping. ● Cooperate with LP and DP operation teams to load and discharge the cargo smoothly.
Requirements
● At least three years of experience in relevant fields. ● Bachelor’s or Master's degree in related fields. ● Full command of English, writing as well as speaking (other languages will be considered an advantage). ● Full command in international shipping affairs. ● Self-motivated and proactive personality. ● Result-oriented personality. ● Proficient in MS Office, such as Word and Excel. ● Working knowledge of relevant electronic equipment (scanners, and electronic boards).
