Job Description

  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business-relationships.
  • Responsible for heading up the expansion in new markets/segments as well as continued expansion among existing clients.
  • Identify market trends and gaps by researching the industry, related exhibitions, publications, and announcements, and contacting key persons within the market.
  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Prospect for potential new suppliers and turn this into increased business.
  • Work with sales and marketing staff to ensure that prerequisites are fulfilled promptly.
  • Create, negotiate, and close commercial agreements.
  • Acquire ideas for various industries including chemicals, pharma, petrochemicals, and consumable chemicals
  • Carry out supporting market studies.
  • Ensure flawless flow of communication.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Business.
  • Fluent English speaker.
  • At least four years of experience in a similar position.
  • A paradoxical blend of personal humility and professional will.
  • Flair for commercial activities.
  • Knowledge of basic financial principles.
  • Proven ability to work independently.

  • Closing skills, motivation for sales, prospecting skills, sales planning, selling to market knowledge, presentation skills, energetic, professional, and fluent in Microsoft Office.
