Job Description
Drive product development across teams (primarily Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Business Development, and Marketing) through business requirements, design, implementation, and release
Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
Contribute to business model analysis and effective customer focused pricing strategy.
Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Define creative, high-quality road maps based on team strategy and vision
Work with the business development, account management, operations, and engineering teams to design, plan, and implement system integration with partners and customers
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues to help the team meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
Author documents relating to product life cycle including product strategy, roadmap, business requirements, use cases and functional specifications
Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center
Requirements
At least Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 5+ years relevant work experience working directly with engineering teams
Proven success in delivering complex technology products/services in a high growth environment
Experience delivering products that incorporate advanced analytical techniques, data-driven decision processes and applied statistical methods
Experience in leading product development start to finish, including shipping customer-facing products, with the ability to drive prioritization consensus across business units and serve as an effective liaison between customers and engineering
Demonstrated solid judgment and effective communication skills. Ability to see the big picture, while navigating technology and partner development decisions and tradeoffs
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on communicating technical requirements and solutions to internal and external audiences
Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive
Negotiation and influence management skills Understanding of eCommerce business systems and business processes is a big plus
