Key Responsibilities

Geological Interpretation & Mapping

Generate geological maps, depositional facies interpretations, and well cross-sections.

Build structural and fault models for reservoir characterization.

Apply strong log-correlation skills in fluvial environments to deliver fine-scale correlations and detailed field-wide maps of depositional trends and reservoir quality/quantity.

Revise reservoir maps and perform deterministic OOIP calculations.

Analyze mud and drill cuttings; chart pressure, temperature, and other subsurface characteristics.

Investigate and collect geological data supporting potential new petroleum or gas discoveries.

Reservoir Studies & Technical Support

Conduct reservoir static modeling studies to support development decisions, production forecasting, well planning, and alternative reservoir management scenarios.

Review and prepare well geological design reports.

Provide technical support for well-test design and interpretation.

Planning, Compliance & Reporting

Participate in setting departmental strategic goals and developing interdepartmental policies and procedures.

Support the Reservoir Geological Management Section Head in preparing the Work Program & Budget (WPB), long-term forecasts, development plans, and annual production strategies.

Ensure all departmental activities comply with organizational policies, reporting requirements, and HSE regulations.

Act as department contract holder in accordance with SIPC Iran contract management policies, where applicable.

Review, verify, and approve subcontractor invoices and control financial data as required.

Respond appropriately to internal and external audit practices.

Adhere to established HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in a relevant engineering or geoscience field.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in the same field with a proven track record.

Strong knowledge of geological engineering principles, techniques, and operational applications.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to the audience and explain complex issues clearly.

Strong teamwork capabilities, demonstrating perceptiveness, receptiveness, and collaborative mindset.

High degree of flexibility, with a willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges.

Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

English is the official working language of the company.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Petrel software.

Experience with analytical and scientific software related to geological engineering.

Familiarity with database management systems and electronic mail software.

Proficiency in office productivity tools, including presentation, spreadsheet, and word-processing software.
