Job Description

Mission:

To plan and provide the proper fiber infrastructure planning for the FTTH project (aligned with the FTTS project) within the Business and budgetary priorities and implement on the network.
To map out the FTTH technology roadmap for technological evolution and migration in line with global technology trends.
To support preparing route finding (RF) documents according to the on-site visit.
To supervise the contractor activities in the field regarding FTTH network implementation daily.
To check the quality of contractor activities regarding design, Civil work, and fiber optic works.

Responsibilities:

To interface with providers of FTTH planning and liaise with subcontractors (SC) and third-party organizations to ensure effective FTTH delivery in assigned cities.
To oversee the performance of turn-key vendors in assigned projects and monitor the implemented FTTH network on-site.
To conduct on-site visits of SC (day and night) in the field considering all parts, including design, civil, and fiber parts, on a daily basis.
To provision reports regarding the executed job by SCs and own the responsibility to verify it.
To collaborate with the Fiber Active team in HQ and ensure to accomplish the requested task.
To support the FTTH project regarding technical and execution parts to accelerate and target delivery.
To provide the FTTH planning delivery of physical connectivity according to topology and plan.
To implement appropriate operational procedures for all FTTH network deployments.
To ensure high availability of FTTH planning for transmission routes implementation.
To monitor and guide the implementation programs of turn-key providers based on assigned projects for the planning of the FTTH network.
To implement, coordinate, and identify FTTH requirements in line with new technologies (route sizes, etc.).
To collaborate with the material and optimization team to track new site integration and check how best to integrate them into the current FTTH network and even new connection requests.
To design fiber TX infrastructure specifications based on the company’s MW/FTTH program requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related degree.
At least 3 years of experience in a fiber transmission infrastructure planning and implementation environment; with experience in supervising others.
Experience working in a medium organization.
Experience in FTTX project design and implementation.
Experience on-site supervisory regarding FTTH/FTTx projects on the field.
Familiar with OLT as an active part of the FTTH network.
A thorough grounding in the requirement of a GSM network in terms of all transmission requirements.
Experience in a rapid roll-out environment and management of turn-key vendors.
