Job Description
- Administer corrosion control program for assigned division.
- Accountable for related activities including design, installation, operation, and maintenance of all corrosion control facilities for maximum efficiency, compliance, and safety.
- Ensure company corrosion records are kept and maintained according to Company standards.
- Mechanical equipment reliability analysis: taking actions to reduce failures and improve reliability.
- Determine equipment failure root causes.
- Ensure supervision during equipment maintenance and upgrades and in the course of handover and acceptance of new facilities.
- Plan, install, adjust, inspect, service and repair a variety of mechanical equipment and mechanical parts of machinery and ensures that workmanship is completed.
- Execute equipment preventive and corrective maintenance by regulations, technical procedures, and operating guidelines.
- Coordinate general contractor and subcontractors’ performance in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Timely issuance of purchase requisitions for equipment, materials, tools and fittings, and spare parts.
- Monitor and ensure the availability of materials, spare parts, consumables, and tools for maintenance and repair.
- Organize timely registration, storage, and modification of working and operational documentation.
- Work with work permit systems.
- Prepare and provide statistical, technical, and other required reports.
- Perform any related tasks as assigned by the line manager or the functional manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering preferably with a qualification in Corrosion Engineering.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English (intermediate).
- Knowledge of Russian will be an advantage
- 5 years of experience in the process and utilities of petroleum refineries, and chemical process plants; at least 4 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry
- Excellent knowledge of static equipment (i.e. Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers (S&T and PHE), Towers & Columns with Internals, Pig Launchers & Receivers, Electric Heaters, Filters & Coalescers), API Storage Tanks (Cone Roof, Floating Roof & Shop Fabricated) and Packages such as Fuel Gas Treatment Package, Flare Package, Glycol Dehydration Package, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, Crude Oil Desalter Package, Methanol Injection Skid, Chemical Injection Skid, Foam Generation Package, Oil Skimmer Package, CO2 Skid, Nitrogen Generation Skid, Instrument Air Dryer Package, Sump Dewaxing Package, Seepage Water Treatment Plant, and WHRU Package.
- Knowledge of risk management concepts, and engineering principles.
- Basic knowledge of cathodic protection.
- Knowledge of piping, valves, and pressures.
- Knowledge of structural materials/materials science (corrosion control and prevention for oilfield equipment, methods of non-destructive tests, and evaluation of technical conditions of equipment).
- Knowledge of condition monitoring devices and techniques.
- Experience in developing technical conditions and technical specifications, scope of work for new equipment, and repair and reconstruction of existing equipment.
- Experience in international projects.
