Utility Manager

Job Description

Utility manager, leads, manages, and optimizes the site’s utilities (steam, water, compressed air, refrigeration, etc.), oversees efficient wastewater treatment operations, and monitors/mitigates the site’s environmental impacts in compliance with regulations and Bel’s sustainability policies to ensure reliable energy supply, cost-effective operations, and supports continuous improvement in utilities and environmental performance.

The main responsibilities are:
• Overseeing day-to-day operation and maintenance of all site utilities to ensure reliable, efficient, and cost-optimized performance of utility systems.
• Supervising operation of the wastewater treatment plant to ensure full compliance with discharge regulations and environmental standards.
• Monitoring site emissions, water use, and waste generation to ensure regulatory compliance and achieve Bel’s sustainability targets.
• Leading and implementing environmental impact reduction initiatives to decrease the site’s footprint and contribute to corporate sustainability objectives.
• Proposing, implementing, and tracking utility-related energy and water efficiency projects to drive continuous improvement and measurable performance gains using KPIs.
• Leading, training, and developing utility team members to foster a strong safety culture and elevate team capability in all utility operations.
• Maintaining all technical and legislative documentation up-to-date to guarantee ongoing compliance and facilitate transparent reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Preparing and presenting regular utility and environmental reports to senior management to support data-driven decision making and strategic oversight.
• Providing technical utility input to support factory CAPEX projects to ensure smooth and sustainable execution of utility-related investments.
• Developing and maintaining contingency plans for utility system failures to ensure business continuity and risk mitigation in emergency scenarios.
