The project specialist (also known as project coordinator or project expert) is a member of the telecommunication projects team responsible for advancing and controlling telecommunication project activities, under the direction and supervision of the project manager. He/she also performs administrative tasks such as communicating with clients, documenting progress, and document control (DCC).
List of Responsibilities:
Assist the project manager in the development of project management documents such as project budgets, project schedules, work scope, project plans, etc.
Execute project management administrative tasks such as managing invoices, archiving project documents, etc.
Check received documents from the engineering department, in terms of the format required by the customer as per contract procedures (DCC).
Help the project manager monitor project progress and team members’ performance.
Assist the project manager in the review of contractors’ quotations, preparing their contracts, etc.
Assist the Procurement Team in the inspection of the procured equipment, if needed.
Coordinate the resources allocated to the project to ensure that the project site team has what it needs at the right time.
Correspond, communicate, and meet with project clients to identify their needs and define project requirements, project timelines, etc.
Track the progress of project procurement, project schedule, etc. to ensure that clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Reporting to: Telecommunication Project Manager.
Length of probation period: 3 Months.
Working hours: Saturday to Tuesday from 8 am to 5 pm; Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm.
Travel requirements: frequently travel inside the country.

Requirements
University Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management and Construction, or other related Engineering fields (graduates of top governmental universities are given priority).
Nature and Length of Previous Experience:
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in project coordination/assistance, DCC, or related fields.
Specialist Knowledge:
Familiar with project concepts and processes (familiarity with EPC Oil and Gas projects is a plus).
Familiarity with planning/scheduling in an EPC environment.
Familiar with the procurement process.
Capable of formal correspondence.Ability to handle meetings with customers.
Ability to use proper judgment to reprioritize work for urgent matters with multiple ongoing activities and responsibilities.
Familiarity with PMBOK standards, especially time and cost management is a plus.
Good at English.
Computer skills: MS Office (esp. Word, Excel, Outlook).
