Job Description

Perform and oversee the asphalt binder testing and hot mix asphalt (HMA) designs.
Assist in analysis of test results and collected data on performance of bituminous paving materials.
Modify asphaltic materials.
Assist in Research and Development (R&D).
Review project specifications and plans.
Assist in implementing new testing capabilities and test protocols.
Assist in plant production of different grades of asphalt binders.
Assist in preparing cost proposals.
Assist in marketing and follow up with clients.

Requirements

Skills and requirements – minimum qualifications for this position include:

Engineering/Chemisty degree from a well stablished program.
Proficiency in laboratory testing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Proficiency in design of experiments and analyzing data.
Excellent skills in writing and communication in English.
Origination and attention to details.
Familiarity and experience with plant production is preferred but not necessary.

This position may require some overnight shifts and long working hours. Must have a clean background and pass a pre-employment drug test
