About the Company :
A well-established and growing pharmaceutical company in Iran is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through its next phase of growth, professionalization, and market expansion.
The company operates across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and healthcare product categories and is entering a new stage in its development, with a strong focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence, corporate governance, portfolio expansion, and long-term value creation.
Required Qualifications :
• Medical Doctorate, PharmD, MBA, or an advanced degree in management, engineering, industrial engineering, finance or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience
• At least 5 to 7 years in a senior leadership role such as CEO, Managing Director, Deputy CEO, COO, General Manager, or Chief Commercial Officer
• Proven leadership experience in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, OTC, medical devices, healthcare, or a closely related regulated industry
• Strong track record in business growth, turnaround, profitability improvement, and organizational development
• Experience and mastery of the mother and main product life cycle processes and simultaneous supporting processes
• Experience and mastery of integrated enterprise information systems
• Experience and mastery of managing organizational resources (financial resources, human resources, knowledge resources and ...)
• Solid understanding of the Iranian pharmaceutical market, including distribution, pharmacies, physicians, key opinion leaders, pricing, registration, and regulatory processes
• Demonstrated experience in managing P&L, budgeting, cash flow, working capital, inventory, and receivables
• Experience in product launches, portfolio management, market expansion, and partnership development
• Strong leadership experience across cross-functional teams
• Experience working with Boards, shareholders, auditors, and governance structures
• Excellent communication, negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills
• Fluency in Persian and strong command of English
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the company’s long-term strategy and annual business plan
• Take full ownership of the company’s P&L, budget, cash flow, profitability, and financial performance
• Drive sustainable revenue growth across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, OTC, and healthcare product categories
• Strengthen sales, marketing, medical promotion, distribution, and key customer channels
• Optimize the product portfolio, including new product launches, under-license opportunities, and lifecycle management
• Ensure strong alignment across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, regulatory affairs, R&D, finance, HR, sales, and marketing
• Maintain full compliance with applicable pharmaceutical, quality, and regulatory standards
• Improve forecasting, inventory management, working capital, collections, and operational efficiency
• Build and lead a high-performing executive and management team
• Establish clear KPIs, reporting systems, governance processes, and accountability across the organization
• Strengthen corporate governance and provide regular, transparent, and decision-oriented reports to the Board
• Manage the leadership transition in a way that protects business continuity, employee engagement, and organizational stability
• Represent the company with key stakeholders, including regulators, distributors, strategic partners, medical professionals, investors, and industry bodies
