Our Affiliate as a Leading International VOIP/TDM Communications company is looking to hire a VOIP Architect (TDM and IP Voice and Data). This is a full-time permanent role in Tehran for Design architecture and administrating our abroad network online. There is possibility of re-location chances to US/ Canada in specific conditions. The Network Voice and Data Architect will provide IP and voice (TDM and IP) network design and engineering operations & support and reports to the head of Network Engineering for an Integrated voice and data IP network using VOIP soft-switch technology and Broadband loop carriers. The position will administer back office systems including DNS, Mail, EMS, Call Center, and NMS, provide escalated Repair and NOC support, document designs, platform requirements, provisioning changes, and troubleshoot process and lab results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.) • Work with internal and external customers and carriers to understand current and future requirements and develop scalable and cost efficient voice and data network design and operating solutions; • Research and document new products and tools; interact with vendors on ongoing basis with vendors for the purpose of investigating new equipment, routes and services and resolving pending platform challenges; • Perform complex engineering, design, implementation and maintenance tasks on the LAN and WAN from all system and routing perspectives. • Research, evaluate, and approve hardware and software solutions for complex problems; work with third party; vendors to drive product roadmaps and feature enhancements • Continually plan to 'harden' and expand the network and make recommendations to management on desirable cost effective additions and development; • Actively troubleshooting of highly complex network problems and act as a high level escalation point for Network Operations; • Testing, provisioning, operations and emergency response for ongoing VOIP network operations; • Overall responsibility for the operation and security of the IP networking environment; • Ensures system availability, redundancy, security, and performance of equipment and functions; • Design of Large Scale L2 and L3 Networks; • Document Network Architecture and Topology changes, and implement automated backup of configuration files; • Maintains DNS, SNMP, SMTP and related protocol requirements; • Creates and maintains service provider security policies; and • Provides internal management reports on system usage and violations. • Perform routing towards carriers and customers. • Perform provisioning tests, rating requirements, etc in VOIP wholesale discipline. • Over the clock management of quality and rates for our outbound/Inbound VOIP services. • VOIP service improvement Consulting work in a month to month basis. • Ability to manage a network of Gateways and softswitches. • Ability to integrate the routes into web based softswitch and billing application. • Day to day regular maintenance and new GW/ soft switch or server installation and modification as per customer requirements. • Contacting key existing VoIP carriers/ providers, making request for quote and then analyze best results and cost / service. • detailed analysis of various wholesale VoIP suppliers with Company Names and Contacts, Type of Routes Available to all destinations in the world, Rates for fixed and mobile phones, Number of Channels available per account, Required Minimum Initial Payment, Minimum and Maximum Top Up Amounts, Currency of Accounts, Payment Methods, rating, invoicing and Terms of Use. Supervisory Responsibilities May be assigned supervisory responsibilities and may oversee junior engineers once experienced enough.

Requirements

Qualifications: Candidate MUST be very experienced in designing and re-architecture of IP and TDM based networks that incorporate both voice and data on the same or different platforms. Candidate must also have experience with researching and developing complex platform changes / upgrades in a CLEC or ILEC or large enterprise environment. Education and/or Experience Requirements: • College degree required; preferably B.S. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Networking or Electrical Engineering(telecommunications systems); • 5+ years' experience in engineering data center and IP backbone networks in a multi-vendor multi-protocol environment; • 5+ years' experience architecting networks based on T1, DS3, Fiber / Optical, DSL, Ethernet, ATM, Frame Relay, and Ethernet over Copper core, distribution, and access media; • 4+ years' experience designing networks for a VoIP Softswitch-based CLEC, VOIP Carrier or ILEC with an integrated voice and data network; • 3+ years' experience integrating and managing DNS (internal and external), Email, and other hosted platforms; • Expert level experience with IP administration and management; • Expert level experience with Cisco Switches and Routers (experience with Juniper platform acceptable); • Expert level experience with designing with and managing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, ISIS, RIP, MPLS, LDP, etc; • Experience with TelcoBridge, Cisco, Hatteras, Adtran, and Actelis VoIP and Broadband platforms preferred; • Experience with services such as L2VPN, L3VPN, and VPLS preferred; • Experience with Database Design and Programming; and • Experience with Network Sniffer Technologies and Capture Tools and Network Monitoring/Management systems required. • Experience in VoIP is needed as we need a long term relation with the specialists. Additional Skills Required: - Market Research, VoIP, Web Search Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (Preferred Certifications): • At least a CCNP or CCDP for VOIP Network Architect; CCIE preferred; • Certifications must show an expert level of training on Layer 2 Switching and Layer 3 Routing; • MS-SQL Server 7.0/2000; • MS-Exchange 2003; • CompTIA certification: A+, Network+, I-NET+, Server+, Linux+; • Linux Professional Institute Certification; and • HIPAA Security
