Job Description

The Vice President of Personal Brand is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of brand strategies and campaigns. This role focuses on enhancing and promoting the executive's personal brand, both internally within the organization and externally to the public.

What You'll Be Doing:

Business and Commercial Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive personal brand strategy that aligns with the executive's vision and goals.
  • Oversee the creation of personal branding materials, including speeches, articles, social media content, and other public-facing communications.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other key stakeholders to amplify the executive's personal brand.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of personal brand initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize impact.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (PR, Marketing, HR, etc.) to ensure alignment between the executive's personal brand and the company's corporate brand.
  • Provide strategic guidance and coaching to the executive on matters related to their personal brand, including media appearances, public speaking engagements, and social media presence.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in personal branding, incorporating this knowledge into strategies and campaigns.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate PR and client-facing industry experience managing “the making” or delivery of great work.
  • Ability to work closely with high-level executives and manage sensitive information.
  • Strong experience working with and leading executives with messaging, thought leadership, and visibility campaigns.
  • Experience with Internal communications strategy and implementation.
  • Strong interest and experience in public affairs and public policy.
  • Strong background in the strategy and development of PR programs and providing strategic/solid thinking to clients.
  • Digitally fluent, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • An appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring creative excellence/output.
  • Strong leader who manages the professional development of team members; and provides ongoing feedback and training opportunities for the team.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset.

Nice to Haves:

  • Previous experience working in a multinational business.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, MA) is preferred.
  • Previous work experience or personal interest in the crypto/blockchain space.
  • Investment banking or in-house investor relationship experience.

This position demands a professional who can craft and implement innovative strategies to enhance and protect the executive's personal brand. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern branding techniques and a proven track record in a similar role.
