Generate new business leads and schedule appointments.
Negotiate shipping rates with foreign shipping companies and lines.
Generate leads via phone, email, trade shows, relevant websites, LinkedIn, etc.
Maintain regular contact with current customers to determine their daily and weekly transportation needs.
Follow up on customer referrals.
Close cooperation with the operations team.
Schedule appointments and sales activities.
Improve service to new and existing customers.
Track appointments, status reports, and sales.
Close sales using excellent customer service and sales skills.
Maintain positive business and customer relationships to increase customer lifetime value.
Collect market and customer information.
Negotiate with local people and overseas agencies to get competitive rates.
Salary: fixed salary (negotiable), commission (dollars, euros, or any other currency based on your booking), and insurance.
Working hours: Saturday to Wednesday from 8 am to 4 pm; Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm.
Requirements
Familiarity with the process of international transportation of goods (sea, land, air, transit), Incoterms, documents, procedures, tariffs, laws, and relevant software.
Proficient in English to communicate and correspond with representatives, and customers, and cooperate with related sales experts.
Very professional in international transportation by sea, air, road traffic, and operations.
Patient, punctual, focused and confident.
Able to work under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Fluent in English.
Adequate knowledge of business correspondence.
Ability to deal with questions of the sales team from reservation to delivery of goods or documents.
At least five years of experience in related fields.
