Job Description
● Create and optimize weekly production plans at the technical level for the finished goods, according to the sales forecast, customer orders, and inventories.
● Manage the input and update of relevant manufacturing macro-constraints and sales and marketing data (shelf-life duration, new products...) to develop an enriched 18-month rolling production plan.
● Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning, master scheduling, materials requirements planning, and production activity control.
● Control production and set inventory goals for finished goods.
● Follow inventory alerts (OOS, overstocks) by exception on a daily basis.
● Monitor performance and recommend action plans to ensure that production stability, inventory targets, and customer service are achieved.
● Challenge the industrial constraints to maximize supply flexibility.
● Ensure that the Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) in place is effective and that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required.
● Ensure that material scheduling strategy and processes are in place and work effectively in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum stock levels, whilst optimizing costs.
● Take ownership of material planning issues that arise, including over or under delivery, and take any follow-up actions especially in the event of material shortages that affect production.
● Maintain the materials stock level within the objective and ensure the stock accuracy via periodical stock counts.
