About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Associate to support our Head of International Legal Department across contracts, capital-markets regulation, sanctions compliance, and governance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Iran’s securities market and is comfortable working in English-language environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements.
• Assist with sanctions compliance
• Support the annual audit process and act as a liaison with external auditors.
• Prepare corporate governance documents and resolutions (board/shareholder).
• Monitor and report on relevant laws, regulations, and regulator guidance; prepare concise briefings and memos.
• Draft, review, and localize bilingual (English–Persian) legal documents.
• Manage heavy document workflows, emails, follow-ups, and correspondence with relevant authorities and organizations.
Requirements (Must-Have)
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent); Master’s in Law preferred, ideally with an international focus.
• English level: very good–excellent
• 1+ years of direct experience in capital markets/securities law;
• Familiarity with the Iranian Commercial Code and foreign investment regulations.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong client-service orientation.
• Proven ability to draft and review bilingual legal documents (English–Persian).
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
• Knowledge of Iran’s Securities Market Act and SEO-relevant regulations.
• Experience supporting sanctions compliance programs and regulatory audits.
• Exposure to cross-border transactions and international regulatory environments.
• Advanced negotiation skills and sensitivity to cultural differences.
