Job Description
The laboratory manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the laboratory and its technical team. The laboratory manager will be ensuring all services are being completed to 17025 standards and will be directly responsible for a variety of chemical, mechanical, and analytical tests on a diverse range of products also need to ensure the laboratory maintains its ISO 17025 accreditation and the successful individual will need to have a strong background within this area.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system and compliance with ISO17025 accreditation.
- Oversee tests done on raw materials and packaging to ensure
- standard quality.
- Oversee tests on finished products (chemical, physical, and microbial) to ensure standard compatibility.
- Arrange for calibration of lab equipment and ensure their sound performance
- Answer customer complaints.
- Oversee tests in the production line.
- Set up analysis methods and carry out the validation procedures.
- Ensure the lab establishes and maintains a calibration program for testing equipment that affects quality results.
- Manage reporting, monitoring, resources, and laboratory personnel.
- Modifies Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
