The laboratory manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the laboratory and its technical team. The laboratory manager will be ensuring all services are being completed to 17025 standards and will be directly responsible for a variety of chemical, mechanical, and analytical tests on a diverse range of products also need to ensure the laboratory maintains its ISO 17025 accreditation and the successful individual will need to have a strong background within this area.
Ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system and compliance with ISO17025 accreditation.
Oversee tests done on raw materials and packaging to ensure
standard quality.
Oversee tests on finished products (chemical, physical, and microbial) to ensure standard compatibility.
Arrange for calibration of lab equipment and ensure their sound performance
Answer customer complaints.
Oversee tests in the production line.
Set up analysis methods and carry out the validation procedures.
Ensure the lab establishes and maintains a calibration program for testing equipment that affects quality results.
Manage reporting, monitoring, resources, and laboratory personnel.
Modifies Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Master's degree or a Ph.D. in Food Industry.
A deep understanding of ISO/IEC 17025.
10 years of managing laboratory or quality control in food manufacturing companies.
Knowledge of GHP and HACCP.
