Hardware & Embedded Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Hardware & Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team across the entire product development lifecycle; from schematic and PCB design to microcontroller programming, prototyping, debugging, and documentation. If you are passionate about hardware design, solving complex technical challenges, and developing innovative digital products, we would love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

● Hardware Design: Design schematics and PCBs for digital systems while adhering to industry-standard design principles.

● Firmware Development: Write and develop embedded system firmware using C.

● Prototyping & Assembly: Assemble, solder, perform initial bring-up, and evaluate the performance of prototypes.

● Testing & Debugging: Conduct failure analysis, troubleshoot, and repair electronic boards during the development and pre-production phases.

● Test Equipment: Design and build custom test equipment, and execute functional tests to ensure product quality.

● Documentation: Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designs, source code, and test reports.

● Teamwork & Version Control: Utilize Git for version control and collaborate effectively with the technical team for seamless product integration.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

● Circuit Design: Proficiency in Altium Designer with a strong ability to design and analyze digital circuits.

● Programming: Strong command of C programming and familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).

● Microcontrollers: Proficiency in configuring and initializing microcontroller peripherals.

● Laboratory Skills: Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).

● Practical Skills: Precision soldering and manual assembly of electronic components (SMD/DIP).

● Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail in technical documentation, and an excellent team-player mindset.

Bonus Qualifications (Nice to Have)

● Hands-on experience with STM32 and STM8 microcontroller families.

● Proficiency in development environments such as STM32CubeIDE, IAR, TrueSTUDIO, or VS Code.

● Experience in designing power electronics and motor drivers (especially BLDC).

● Background in designing test boards and control fixtures for mass production lines.
