Job Description

  • Research and analyze data and market insights.
  • Search for insights into consumer needs and wants.
  • Research competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities.
  • Strategize the positioning of a product category to maximize its visibility.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors.
  • Manage and track the budget.
  • Plan and implement long-term development strategies for product categories.
  • Ensure product availability.
  • Work with customers and merchandisers and find new ways of expanding product categories.
  • Calculate forecasts for product demand trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a category manager or similar roles.
  • Solid knowledge of category management, Purchase, and supply in the FMCG industry.
  • Hands-on experience with analyzing big data and making forecasts.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
