Deep knowledge of products: must be familiar with medical equipment related to the job, applications, used technologies and related standards (such as ISO, CE, or licenses of the Ministry of Health of Iran).
Familiarity with the rules and regulations: the medical equipment market is strictly monitored. The commercial manager must have complete knowledge of the laws of import, distribution, pricing, government tenders and the requirements of the Food and Drug Organization.
Understanding clinical needs: The ability to communicate effectively with doctors, nurses and hospital managers requires understanding their daily challenges and how to improve services using equipment.
Market Analysis: Ability to identify emerging trends in medical technology and predict demand for specific products.
2 Business strategy: developing long-term plans to enter new markets (domestic or international), developing distribution channels and managing product portfolios.
• Negotiation and contracting skills: the ability to negotiate with foreign suppliers (for imports) and major buyers (hospitals and medical centers) to achieve the best financial and contractual conditions.
•Supply Chain Management: Due to the sensitivity of medical equipment (need for special maintenance or expiration date), logistics management, warehousing and ensuring timely inventory is very critical.
Financial and budgeting skills: the ability to analyze import costs, determine competitive prices, manage business budgets and analyze the profitability of contracts.
•Leadership and team building: the ability to recruit, train and manage sales and commercial teams and motivate them to achieve sales goals.
Analytical problem solving: The medical equipment market is full of unexpected obstacles (exchange rate changes, customs delays, government policy changes). The manager must be able to provide a solution quickly and logically.
•Strong networking: having extensive professional connections with foreign manufacturing companies, distributors, and decision makers in the healthcare field.
• Persistence and high responsibility: due to the importance of products in the field of health, commitment to quality and accountability for the performance of the team and meeting the needs of medical centers is mandatory.
