Job Description
• Follow written/verbal instructions and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical support in developing and improving Technical team.
• Provide setup and startup of Hardware and Software for the PLC, Job PC, HMI Graphics, Control and Communications Networks and other miscellaneous Electrical and Control Hardware and Software.
• Programming and troubleshooting WAGO, SIEMENS, Other PLCs.
• Modify existing programs from customer requirements.
• Work with customers and suppliers to define equipment specifications, resolve fabrication issues, and resolve quality issues.
• Working understanding of design, layout, and use of current networks such as Profibus, Ethernet, etc.
• Provide direct assistance to field personnel to resolve electrical program issues.
• Collaborate with in-house Service Department personnel to troubleshoot electrical/programming related issues.
• Assist in the integration, startup and debugging of plant floor equipment.
• Ability to perform electrical diagnosis, recommend repair or perform repair as needed.
• Travelling during startups and installations with no limitation up to 3 weeks per month
• Negotiating and closing specification & requirement with end-user and consultant
• Executing FAT/ SAT for control system & components, and writing sample program for test
• Preparing troubleshooting reports for technical support of manufacturer and communicating with them to solve the software / hardware problem
• Recording and maintaining client contact data
• Supporting marketing by attending in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
• Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Liaising with other technical experts and members
