Role Overveiw:

The tech and security audit supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity and security of the e-commerce platform's technology infrastructure. They are responsible for assessing and mitigating technology-related risks, compliance with industry standards, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of technology-related risks within the e-commerce platform, including cybersecurity threats, data privacy concerns, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Audit Planning: Develop audit plans and strategies to evaluate technology and security controls. Identify areas of potential risk and establish audit objectives.
  • Audit Execution: Perform detailed audits of technology systems, processes, and controls. Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management practices and security measures.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the e-commerce company complies with industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices related to technology and security.
  • Recommendations: Provide recommendations for improving technology controls and risk management practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed audit documentation, including findings, recommendations, and action plans. Prepare audit reports for senior management.
  • Monitoring: Continuously monitor the technology environment for emerging risks and vulnerabilities. Stay updated on industry trends and security threats.
  • Training: Provide guidance and training to employees on technology and security best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or Accounting).
  • Several years of experience in technology audit, risk assessment, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce technology systems, cybersecurity principles, and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Familiarity with audit methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP) may be preferred.
