Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

As a leader of the Project team, you will be responsible for Plan the technical side of an investment project ensuring a design for manufacturing excellence (free of waste) and lead the execution (from investment project charter until vertical start-up) by managing a cross-functional team whose objective is to oversee the capital investments relating to the company's fixed assets. This could involve the relocation and optimizing of the existing fixed asset base and/or the purchase of new fixed assets. Including:
• Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.
• Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
• Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project
• May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors;
•Supervises professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some para-professional employees
•Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
•Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders

A DAY IN THE LIFE …
• As a Project manager, you will be engaged before starting the project in the design phase by supporting from the first step in defining the project team, project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. You will be responsible to build the investment project charter and see to it that it is strictly followed throughout the project.
• During the project design you will execute the basic and detailed design of the project based on Nestlé Corporate Business Principles, Nestlé standards, local regulations, the defined User Requirements Specifications "URS" and the TPM characteristics of a unit operation (safety, quality, affordability, maintainability, operability and reliability). Ensure by design the workers, and operators, safety during both the construction and the ongoing operation of the plant.
• During the project implementation phase, you will lead the team and coordinate the contribution of all the stakeholders, to ensure that the engineering side of the project is implemented (e.g. buildings, equipment erections, piping, utilities, etc.) in accordance with the defined timing, cost and quality, the URS and the characteristics of a unit operation. And that all of the elements of the project (including technical people training, as needed) in performed in such a way that safety is always guaranteed on the whole project site and a vertical start-up is assured.
• During the whole project life you will be the engineering project team leader, meaning integrating, motivating, feed backing, coaching, developing, managing and evaluating team members and being their support and liaison with the steering committee and all the project's stakeholders. Select and qualify contractors and coordinate their activities. Ensure that Nestlé standards are applied.


ARE YOU A FIT?
• Bachelor’s/Master`s degree in Engineering fields.
• At least 7+ experience in an international project environment context within which, projects were defined and budgeted, assessed and implemented (entire project life cycle).
• Capital Investment projects management in food industry
• Knowledge of the requirements for a good capex submission and the available tools.
• High commitment to Safety and Quality with a high understanding of safety and environmental principles.
• English language proficiency (Written & verbal).
• Great Leadership Skills, Communication Skills, and Self-Confidence.

Requirements

ARE YOU A FIT?

  • Bachelor’s or Master`s degree in Engineering fields.
  • At least more than seven years of experience in project, manufacturing, and relevant functions.
  • Proven experience as a production expert or similar role.
  • High commitment to safety and quality with a high understanding of safety and environmental principles.
  • Exposure to implementing continuous improvement and employee involvement techniques; such as TPM and NCE.
  • English proficiency (written and verbal).
  • International and professional way of working along with a positive attitude.
  • Great leadership skills, communication skills, and self-confidence.
