The overall purpose of this position as a product manager is to generate profitable revenues by developing and managing products and services. The PM will be responsible for all aspects relating to delivering a successful product “design, sales, marketing and distribution”.
The PM will take on the following responsibilities:
Negotiate competitive rates, exclusive inclusions, and service-level agreements with the supply team.
Review the performance of the product (sales/competitor analysis) and recommend strategies to gain market share whilst maintaining product margins.
Develop an innovative and well-presented product range that is reputable within the market and intended audience.
Responsible for pricing strategies.
Work with operations, product delivery, finance, marketing, and tech teams prior to each new launch.
Budget, plan, cost, and yield manage all financial aspects of a product.
Requirements
Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager.
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job.
Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working background in the travel services industry would be a privilege.
