The future jobholder will handle the following responsibilities as a procurement specialist in property development and construction business:
● Recognize and verify the projects and departments' needs for raw materials, equipment, and tools.
● Track inventory and restock goods when needed.
● Verify and evaluate suppliers and maintain the database.
● Prioritize the purchase requests and prepare the delivery plan.
● Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality, deadlines, etc. to achieve a deal with best conditions.
● Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
● Control the invoices and follow up on the payments to the suppliers.
● Maintain documentation of activities and provide regular and in-case reports.
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or relevant fields.
● At least 3 years of relevant experience (preferably in property development and construction).
● Expertise in MS Office.
● Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
● Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
● General knowledge of applicable sourcing, planning, and logistics laws and regulations.
● Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
