Job Description

The Stress Engineer is responsible for performing stress analysis considering below items: ● Stress engineers for our pipe stress software are typically Mechanical engineers with field experience. ● Analyze piping systems and components for thermal flexibility, vibration, supports, and other factors. ● Perform ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3 formal stress analysis using Caesar II software. ● Work with piping designers to optimize pipe routing on piping design including specifying required pipe supports. ● Specify engineered support equipment such as expansion bellows, spring cans, constant hangers, snubbers, and engineered piping supports including a detailed review of vendor equipment design documents.

Requirements

● More than one year of demonstrated experience in thermal analysis using Caesar II software; more than one year of experience understanding mechanical engineering principles and the capability to apply sound engineering judgment when presented with incomplete or evolving problem statements or specifications. ● Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering. ● Experience using other analysis software such as PV Elite is a plus but not required.
