Job Description

Mechanical Technical Sales Supervisor - Valve Specialist: The Valve Specialist, Petrochemical is responsible for the application and quotation of different products in response to customer and/ or representative inquiries, in accordance with established company policies and practices. This position acts as an expert in solutions related to ARICO offerings and works in close conjunction with customers and representatives to provide the best possible available solution. Acts as an interface between operational and support departments in exceeding customers' expectations. Role description: ● Handle all correspondence and inquiries with customers and reps regarding: the application of products, technical information, prices, process and preparation of quotations, and system sketches where necessary. ● Work closely with the appropriate resources within to proactively represent and service customers and sales channel representatives. ● Support technical presentations to customers. ● Maintain records of quotations and updates to all stakeholders. ● Work closely with customers on issues related to application, design, manufacturing, and quality of products in an effort to reach a prompt resolution. ● Assist customers and/or representatives with all questions concerning our product specifications. ● Cooperate with regional managers in regard to quotations, inquiries, and all phases of new business development. ● Maintain proper records to permit the formation of a weekly quotation forecast. ● Assist representatives and their personnel in matters of policies and procedures. ● Adhere to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking, order hand-over packages, and internal sales forecasting tools. ● Technical interface with internal and external personnel. ● Support of large installed base with responses to technical questions and installations. ● Liaison between sales department and other departments. ● Work closely with customers on issues related to application, design, manufacturing, and quality of products in an effort to reach a prompt resolution. ● Directly review and process all incoming customer inquiries. ● Support product development.

Requirements

● Technical knowledge with Control Valves, Safety Valves, Motorized Valves, Desuperheaters, and Steam Conditioning Products and the systems they go in. ● Familiar with all Standard codes, requirements, and quality plans. ● Understanding valve specifications and supporting design reviews. ● Capable to perform control valve sizing and selection. ● Understanding of customer systems in Petrochemical and industrial Plants. ● Ability to review critical valve application information and provide advice on solutions. ● A strong commercial focus. ● Team leadership and motivational skills. ● Familiar with successful business improvement, margin improvement, and cost reduction programs. ● Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English. Experience: ● More than 7 years of related experience as an Application Engineer. ● More than 7 years of experience in the valve industry. ● Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred).
