Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team.

In this role, you will;

• Utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons to ensure their working place safety conditions are protected.
• Implementing established programs, policies and practices according to health and safety (H & S), quality and regulatory and environmental concerns to meet Bel group and national law requirements in the manufacturing working environment.
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing technical problems on production machinery and equipment to ensure sustainability of manufacturing process and maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performing preventative maintenance per defined interval/schedule with base condition mindset in a timely manner and printed checklist to keep manufacturing equipment working in acceptable level of performance.
• Recognizing and communicating manufacturing machines defects (failure or unsafe conditions) to maintenance supervisor to take decision of proper countermeasure.
• Applying and setting up workshop equipment such as drill, presses, grinders, cutting equipment (e.g. chop saw), pneumatic tools and electric/manual hand tools to carry out allocated repair and maintenance tasks.
• Cleaning of tools, parts, materials and work area to make sure 5S approach is completely implemented.
• Installing production machinery according to machine documents and equipment to fulfill the new project activities and development plans.
• Gathering and reporting daily tasks fulfillment document, machinery breakdowns and defects and center line deviation (machinery set point) check list to update and inform maintenance team about the occurred changes and keeping the history available.
• Facilitating and mentoring production station and machine holders within their cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening (CILT) of manufacturing equipment to ensure the standards of manufacturing excellence is completely implemented.
• Conducting training plan for production operators due to recognized gaps to make sure production crew performance is aligned with requested qualification.
• Implementing, monitoring and reporting required changes during innovation projects and development plans based on technical analysis and way of doing to prepare the documented history and make sure about process steps accordingly.

Requirements:

• B.S in mechanical engineering
• At least 3 years experience in maintenance department as technician (dairy industries background is plus)
• Understand, practice and enforce safe work practices related to the following: respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous energy, welding, cutting, brazing, confined space entry, work at height, PPE and employee Right to Know.
• Familiar with quality and food safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP) concepts based on dairy regulation and Bel group policies and standards
• Fully operational knowledge of repair/troubleshooting skill
• Working knowledge of mechanical components and instruments (including and not limited to pumps, compressor, hydraulic and pneumatic, shaft and coupling, conveyor, valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.)
• Ability to read and/or interpret mechanical (including and not limited to pneumatic and hydraulic), electrical and P&ID blueprints or schematics.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Job related internet research and ability to learn
• Fully operational knowledge of problem-solving skills and analytical thinking with focus on attention to detail
• Working knowledge of decision making
• Intermediate level of English skills (more specifically reading)
• Working knowledge of reporting skill
• Basic knowledge of practices and principles of system troubleshooting
• Fully operational knowledge of safety pause
• Basic knowledge of risk assessment
