Job Description

• Implement, administer, maintain and improve our test and production infrastructure and application platform • Continuous improvement identification and implementation to reduce manual processes, improve consistency, stability, performance and security • Collaborate with development teams to build, improve and maintain underlying systems to be highly available, scalable and highly performant. • Collaborate with other business unit teams; representing Specialty’s point of view • Contribute to backlog grooming, prioritization, decomp and refinement of work • Troubleshoot production issues impacting performance/availability/stability of our applications • Diagnose complex system issues with multiple influencing factors Participate on team on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with the Linux Operating System (Ubuntu variants preferred) • Experience in a high-frequency, ultra low-latency environment is required. • Advanced knowledge of Linux OS including installations, administration, and automation • Solid understanding of networking and the requirements involved in maintaining a network of multiple data centers including tuning and measurement methodologies • Strong knowledge of and experience with core DevOps principles, processes, and tools • Knowledge of horizontal and vertical scaling for performance and high availability • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools, such as Git, GitLab, Ansible, etc. • Familiar with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
