Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining Oracle, SQL Server, or other database systems.
- Support daily backup, recovery, and performance tuning tasks.
- Learn to manage database users, roles, and access privileges.
- Help troubleshoot database issues under guidance.
- Document processes, incidents, and changes.
- Participate in database upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
- Follow IT policies and data security best practices.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with SQL and basic scripting (PL/SQL or T-SQL is a plus).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
- Recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or final-year student).
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
- Awareness of database backup and recovery concepts.
- Understanding ITIL practices or ITSM tools.
