Job Description
- Administer and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address any issues to minimize downtime and ensure maximum efficiency.
- Install, configure, and upgrade software, hardware, and operating systems as needed.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, and software issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure data security and privacy.
- Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate measures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in IT systems administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and end-users.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or equivalent, will be advantageous.
