Job Description
- Reviewing raw materials to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
- Trimming footage and putting together the rough project.
- Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
- Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
- Consulting with the director, producer, and/or client throughout the post-production process.
- Experimenting with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements.
- Suggesting or selecting music.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Good understanding of timing and continuity.
- A flair for storytelling with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, or a related field.
