Job Description

Active collaboration with other departments within the network group with regard to:

  • Ensure the radio network plan is doable by supporting CPG.
  • Rollout and monitoring of new technologies and solutions from a radio perspective.
  • Operational and QA issues that affect network and radio KPI.
  • Site relocation and CRA matters.
  • BSC/RNC/OSS, transmission, and core relevant aspects of on-site planning.
  • Power and material planning.

Active collaboration with other divisions (e.g., marketing) within the company with regard to:

  • Key inputs are obtained and understood that might affect rollout strategy, including information on new products or services and forecasting.
  • Support marketing and S&D for new service launching and new customers.
  • Legal issues on license conditions and complaints.
  • Site and region visits for planning and implementation purposes.
     
  • To manage and ensure the right equipment is planned, allocated to the contractor, and implemented to avoid wasting or shortage of equipment.
  • To prepare detail of the new site (Micro, Macro, IBS) plan of all assigned technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G mobile, and fixed) for increasing capacity and coverage and finalizing BoQ with vendor and related internal teams.
  • To prepare detail of the network modernization plan such as swapping, replacing, and adding new boards, technology, and layer.
  • To schedule a program for events by temporary sites (Mainly CoW site) or adjusting existing sites.
  • To provide a repeater plan and follow implementation for low-coverage areas.
  • To offer low-cost solutions to boost NW coverage in assigned regions.
  • To prepare USO plan and village coverage as per license obligations and regulatory demands.
  • To prepare a plan for the power system of sites and upgrading plan.
  • To maintain a dashboard of all assigned BTSs' power situations and ensure additional equipment can be handled with the supplied power.
  • To provide monthly and ad hoc reports regarding the new plan, plan implementation, challenges and solutions, and so on.

To consider the following in issuing plans:

  • Received customer complaints from CRA, letters, and company customer care.
  • Regional teams, S&D, and marketing feedback.
  • Measured coverage and OSS KPI.
  • License condition.
  • Security, availability of TRM (technology risk management), AC power.
  • Covering VIP, main, and strategic areas.
  • Covering all main roads, airports, and railways.

 

  • To follow customer coverage complaints and adjust the plan where it is applicable.
  • To follow the implementation plan with CPG and contractors and ensure implementation is executed as per plan and also following pending/down sites.
  • To attend to tender evaluation for network radio changes as per the manager's request.
  • To prepare SoW and raise CR to vendors and contractors for new equipment or new service of Radio plan implementation.
  • To evaluate SAR, TSSR, SSV, SOAC, PAT, and FAT of the plan and issuing certificate.
  • To provide support to material planning w.r.t. procurement of radio network-related equipment.
  • To provide input for transmission and core teams regarding CRA issues and support the legal CRA team, CPG, Radio support team, BSC/RNC/OSS team, and Optimization team in this regard.
  • To ensure accurate physical data entry, used model tuning and parameters of sites in the planning tool and kept the tool updated.
  • To monitor RAN KPI and following issues from vendors, contractors, and suppliers and next radio planning-related problems of care and support with vendors and suppliers.
  • To order and follow the required radio software license and features with getting optimization team support and feedback.
  • To ensure update of license and features utilization of purchased equipment based on the agreed contract.
  • To attend optimization, planning, and CPG meetings regarding network performance and plan implementation.
  • To prepare and support the NW Operation Spare team for required material.
  • To attend CRA meetings related to coverage or performance issues.
  • To prepare and support for answering coming letters from CRA or other organizations.
  • To provide an efficient plan for reusing dismantled/second-hand equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology Systems (Telecommunication Management, Information Technology) or related fields.
  • Fluent English.
  • At least 3 years of experience in RF planning. GSM experience is a prerequisite; with experience in supervising others.
  • Experience working in a medium organization.
  • 3G and 4G RAN planning experience is preferred.
