Telecom Technology Audit Senior Specialist(Vendor)

Job Description

• Collaborate with related teams to foster a culture of technology security risk awareness within the company.
• Research the latest Telecom Technology trends and stay abreast of related developments in order to define appropriate audit plans for technology domain.
• Champion and facilitate the use of data analysis tools within the Internal Audit function, thereby enhancing audit efficiency.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients through individual contacts and group meetings, thereby enhancing the implementation of audit assignments through effective audit coordination.
• Oversee and conduct ongoing Network Technology and security audits across the Network and Cyber Security divisions , ensuring audits are performed effectively according to the Internal Audit methodology and generating accurate, actionable reports.
• Provide opinion and guidance on audit assignments, such as technical reviews of Network, SMC, CPG, and IFM domains, to ensure accurate and relevant findings.
• Identify key control failures or deficiencies associated with telecom technology domain that may put MTNIRANCELL strategic objectives at risk and prioritize audit activities and application of mitigations accordingly.
• Facilitate audit reporting to ensure reports are timely, accurate, objective, and constructive.
• To expedite and manage complex, non-standard, ad hoc audit requests to ensure their successful implementation.
• Support processes to ensure compliance with the required standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors and International Best Practice.
• Provide input into the overall annual audit plan in accordance with the MTNIRANCELL strategic objectives and associated risks.
• Develop a risk based plan for each engagement that reflects the scope and objectives of the audit assignment
• Monitor the implementation of agreed-upon corrective actions in accordance with the co-developed rectification plan.

*Education
• Degree in Telecoms/Electrical Engineering or Computer science is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Internal Auditing or related would be an added advantage.

*Experience
• Minimum 5 years in a telecom business environment
• 3 years in a Telecomm Network Technology environment (Operation/Planning/Optimization)
• External Audit experience (specializing in IT/NWG Audit) would be an added advantage
