Job Description

The role of Solution Architect is to provide a technical consulting service in customer projects and has the ability to understand customer’s business and technical needs and the ability to translate them into a solution. The SI Solution Architect supports the sales phase as well as the delivery phase in the projects, by creating the solution as well as being involved in the detailed requirements phase. As a third role, Solution Architects also run individual consulting projects as part of larger integration projects or as stand alone projects, where the consultant is working in a customer team onsite. Experience from the system integrations (IT) and/or mobile telecoms industry is a prerequisite for this position and years of software development experience as well. Key responsibilities for this position covers areas such as : • Ownership of the system architecture • Responsibility for design of system or subsystem • Definition of points for customisation of Nokia products. • Definition of the highlevel business process design • Participation in design reviews of own and other solutions. • Alignment of technical solution to business requirements • Responsibility of testing activities is carried out in accordance with defined processes • Technical management of outsourced software development activites As a result you will have experience in the following: - Actively listening to the customer’s business and technical needs - Anticipating customers needs, by investigating the underlying causes and identifies short and long term solutions, - Delivering presentations and demos and - Writing solution descriptions based on the high level business and technical requirements of the customer, as part of initial solution offers to the customers. - The ability to act as a Project Manager or Technical Manager where required
