Job Description
Objective: The Senior UI/UX Designer will be responsible for the research, planning, design and documentation of user interfaces for web-based and mobile applications. Main responsibilities: • Collaborates with product owners and business analysts to design solutions • Create innovative workflows and interfaces • Working closely with Product Designers to understand features and context for deliverables, such as sketching, wire framing, Photoshop mockups and high fidelity prototyping • Work directly with our engineers and business team to bring products from idea to execution • Sketching, designing, prototyping and working in collaboration with the Blackboard Design, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to conceive and develop more usable and desirable products • Relevant and practical experience in mobile design: iOS and Android is a must. • Collaborating cross-functionally to audit and correct user interface bugs Desired start date: ASAP Working hours: Sat-Wed 8am-6pm Travel requirements: No
Requirements
Previous experience: 3 years of UI Experience Specialist knowledge: • Strong portfolio showcasing your visual or UI/UX design talent • Create and modify flows, wireframes, diagrams and prototypes at the appropriate fidelity • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools • Strong working knowledge of prototype development using HTML, CSS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery UI and responsive design (fluid design, Bootstrap, 960 grid, JQuery UI, Media query) • Knowledge on mobile design patterns and principles • Collaborate closely with Product Teams and other business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies • Deep understanding of SEO concepts and how to use it in semantic designs Language Skills: Advanced English familiarly
