Job Description
•Main Objective: The Embassy is seeking for a candidate with a strong understanding of policies in the energy(including renewable energy)/mineral resources sector and business environment of Iran. The successful candidate is expected to play a vital role in the Economic/Commercial Section under the supervision of diplomats concerned. •Main Responsibilities: -Monitor, analyze and report the energy, renewable energy, plant infrastructure, mineral resources, technology development, and tender information in Iran -Reach out to Korean companies and help them develop their business, create valuable partnerships in sectors related to energy, renewable energy, plant infrastructure, mineral resources, technology development, and acquire tender information in Iran -Analyze international and Iranian economic issues and policies -Take responsibilities for arranging and assisting visits to Iran by Korean government officials and companies, and to Korea by Iranian government officials and companies -Develop and maintain contacts with the government, industry and the NGO communities to achieve the above-mentioned tasks -Assist the Ambassador and other colleagues on the issues of the Energy, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Mineral resources, technology development, and tender information in Iran -Assist members of the Embassy in writing papers, letters, and speeches in Farsi and English
Requirements
-Minimum of a relevant Bachelor’s Degree -Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience directly related to the field of energy, renewable energy, mineral resources, and infrastructure, OR -Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience directly related to the field of energy, renewable energy, mineral resources, and infrastructure -Legal status to work in Iran (The Embassy does not sponsor visas) -Expert level of computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint) and web research capacity -Native level communications skills in English and Farsi, including translation techniques between Persian and English -Doctoral degree on the field of energy, renewable energy, mineral resources, and infrastructure, -Proven ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision in an intercultural environment -Timeliness in response to tasking and capacity to prioritize competing work demands within working hours to meet deadlines -Self-motivated and self-directed learner who is open to diverse work portfolios -Maintain a strong network with contacts within government, industry, and NGO community in the Energy, Renewable Energy, Mineral Resources, and green growth fields -Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, flexibility in a team setting, ability to work independently and an enthusiastic approach preferred
