Job Description

- The R&D manager is instrumental in the development of new and existing products and the building and implementation of coherent and scalable development and testing processes. - This position will build and manage a strong, effective and efficient R&D development team, adopt, adapt and implement the best practices, standards and methodologies, manage the knowledge transfer, employee training and mentoring. - Review and provide feedback on product specifications and software development decisions to ensure scalable and compliant testing, early defect prevention, and performance. - Responsible for product delivery on time, within budget, as per specifications and in accordance with defined quality requirements - Establish and enforce quality processes within the product development team, including risk assessment, development strategy and plan, execution of test cases, tracing requirements, and other standard operating procedures and work instructions - Proven track record of managing high caliber teams and working within virtual teams - Ensure proper and timely documentation is provided for each product

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing R&D or other technology development teams • Strong experience in software/product development technologies and processes • Strong attention to detail • Excellent organizational, time and people management skills • Excellent communication and listening skills • Strategic thinker, ability to simplify and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences • Strong skills in creating and following best practices in all aspects of software/product life cycle • Mastery of software/product architectural design • Fluent in English
