Job Description
The product manager acts as the business expert and decision-maker on the customer experience. They are the voice of the user, translating business and user needs into product requirements. At times the product manager may lead an Agile team in the product owner persona, which includes leading the mission and bringing the business vision to the product team. They maintain close interaction with the Agile product teams, key business stakeholders, enterprise enablement teams, and supporting capability pods to ensure alignment. Create proper communication between the idea generators and the programming team so that the product with the required specifications is supplied in the stipulated time and with the right quality.
A Day in the Life:
- Translate product roadmap initiatives and business requirements (features) requests into workflow diagrams, epics, and functional requirements(user stories) with acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with software engineers (developers) to promote user story comprehension, including estimates.
- Collaborate with quality engineers to ensure and capture acceptance criteria.
- Help the team regularly prioritize backlog items (features, user stories, defects) and evaluate critical paths to ensure on-time delivery.
- Taking ownership and ensuring the delivery of the components/features developed.
- Allocate different products and projects between resources. If necessary, outsource a part of the work or suggest the required manpower for employment.
- Communicate efficiently with the marketing and content production team so the product launch does not face problems.
