Job Description
Planning managers take day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of the planning teams as part of C&I projects. The planning manager must be able to proactively improve customer relationships from engineering level to CTO level, as well as demonstrating an excellent understanding of customer’s priorities and business needs.
Key Characteristics are :
• Involves the provision of expert skills based either locally or at a customer site.
• Expected to be responsible for small, medium and large-scale work tasks either working alone or as part of a team and coordinating its day-to-day activities.
• Demonstrating excellent writing skills this role involves significant creative marketing and tendering activities.
• An essential part of this role is to bring extra value though breath of knowledge and experience, beyond the ability of the customer, while working hand in hand with the lead consultant (where present) to support the business goals.
Key Tasks:
• Lead and manage the planning team in Nokia projects
• Develop and mange project processes and targets
• Formulate and implement strategies for Network Planning within the project to deliver high quality networks, in time and within budget
• Manage Network Planning budget
• Resource forecasting
• Responsible for the technical integrity of the planning and design tasks.
• Lead design and planning projects as directed by Project Director.
• Actively develop tools processes and concepts.
• To participate and take responsibility for technical issues at customer meetings as Nokia’s representative
• Proactive team member in solving network issues with customers.
• To provide competency development to fellow team members.
• Support for business development activities such as tender responses for bids.
• Ensure resource forecasting and booking match project requirement.
• Staff competence development.
• Selection and managing of sub contractors.
