Job Description

Microsoft Administrator Job Responsibilities:

Server Management:

  • Install, configure, and manage Microsoft servers (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WDS, WSUS, SCCM, etc.).
  • Monitor and maintain server performance and availability.
  • Implement backup and recovery solutions for server data.

Active Directory Management:

  • Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory.
  • Ensure proper Group Policy Object (GPO) implementation for security and compliance.
  • Manage domain controllers and resolve authentication issues.

Network Management:

  • Configure and maintain network services like DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Monitor network connectivity and resolve issues related to network performance.
  • Collaborate with the network team to integrate Microsoft services with the existing infrastructure.

Security Management:

  • Implement and monitor security measures, including firewall configurations and endpoint protection.
  • Perform regular audits of systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Respond to security incidents and apply patches and updates promptly.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for Microsoft-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with applications, services, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to address complex technical problems.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Optimize system configurations and deployment processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, changes, and processes.
  • Generate reports on system performance, usage, and incidents.

Staying Updated:

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies and industry trends.
  • Attend training sessions and certifications to enhance expertise.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical fields.
  • Intermediate English.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Pack (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc.).
