Summary

The main focus of the Medical & LTO Chapter Enabler is to drive scientific, medical and clinical excellence and innovation through strategic leadership, strong cross-functional interactions and continuous engagement with the scientific community and key health care ecosystem stakeholders. The individual ensures medical compliance and superior patient outcomes while fostering a high-performance culture and continuous professional development of the Medical team. The Medical & LTO Chapter Enabler is part of the affiliate’s leadership team and is the local delegate of authority of Roche’s Pharma Chief Medical Officer.

The Medical & LTO Chapter Enabler reports to the Country Manager.

You will be responsible for:

- Leads and shapes the affiliate’s medical strategy as part of the leadership team, ensuring evidence-based, competitive approaches that drive business objectives, portfolio success, and long-term outcomes while safeguarding scientific integrity and reputation.
- Acts as the senior scientific representative to key external stakeholders, including policy makers, healthcare ecosystem leaders, scientific communities, and patient groups, to influence healthcare outcomes and support adoption of our transformative medicines.
- Ensures rigorous medical oversight across therapeutic areas and diseases, guiding evidence generation, data dissemination, and lifecycle strategies to accelerate clinical adoption, advocacy, and patient access.
- Builds and leads high-performing medical teams, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and establishes strategic partnerships with experts and institutions to deliver patient-centered innovation and portfolio differentiation.
- Serves as the medical authority responsible for regulatory compliance, safety oversight, risk management, and ethical conduct, ensuring all medical activities, materials, partnerships, and digital health initiatives meet local and global requirements.

You are expected to adhere through your conduct to all applicable laws and regulations as well as to the high integrity standards as set forth by Roche.

Who You Are

- You hold a Medical Doctor (MD) degree; Digital Health expertise and/or a business qualification (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
- You have a minimum 10 years of extensive Medical Affairs experience, or 5 years in senior leadership, with excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including scientific and strategic drug development, commercialization, and medical compliance (GCP, GVP, Medical Device regulations, Healthcare Compliance).
- You have proven leadership experience, including people management and managing through others.
- You have in-depth knowledge of all stages of drug development, including supported and non-interventional studies.
- You have excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- You are Fluent in Farsi and English (spoken and written).
- Military service completion or exemption required for male candidates.
