Job Description

Maintenance manager oversees maintenance procedures and actions in the manufacturing area through the preventive & corrective maintenance policies to ensure activities for the repair of production machinery to ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly.

The main responsibilities are:
• Contributing to the creation and implementation of vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
• Scheduling planned preventative maintenance (PPM) based on machine condition to ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out.
• Managing the maintenance team to ensure machine availability and reactively.
• Managing routine maintenance requirements (variety maintenance issues of processed cheese and fresh products machinery) to ensure that manufacturing machineries are fit.
• Managing equipment data history and maintain high levels of standards and accuracy to evaluate and forecast upcoming preventive maintenance.
• Fulfilling the process of root cause analysis for major breakdowns in manufacturing machinery to reduce downtime.
• Identifying and deploying the technical skill sets, resources and systems to deliver projects as
required.
• Staying up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials to advise others about any possible technical impacts.
• Developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing area to ensure maintenance performance is under control.
• Conducting maintenance activities in accordance with any health, safety, environmental quality and regulatory standards policies and procedures to make sure the HSE, quality and regulatory policies, procedures and disciplines are in place, wellbeing of shopfloor staff and quality of finished products are guaranteed.
• Managing, coaching and developing a high performing maintenance team based on their engagement and motivation to meet agreed objectives and deliver expected results.
• Reporting maintenance achievement based on annual targets and identifying any required actions to monitor the performance progress of maintenance team consistently.
• Updating company records such as technical KPIs, top three of major breakdowns dashboard, training matrices and maintenance staff performance reviews to ensure sustainability of maintenance department is achieved.
• Communicating technical KPIs from the strategic factory plan to make maintenance staff aware of their activities result on overall equipment effectiveness.
• Preparing the annual maintenance budget (operational expenditure) to forecast all maintenance cost proposals and manage the budget accordingly.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
