Job Description

This role's responsibilities include (and are not limited to): ● Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. ● Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization in the warehouse. ● Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities. ● Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security. ● Reconcile stock with the data storage system. ● Prepare regular reports and statistics of inbound/ outbound status, deadstock, etc. ● Supervise workers for the completion of operational tasks to meet deadlines and clients’ demands. ● Supervise loading of goods into vehicles and ensure that they are in the right quantity and quality. ● Liaise with transportation companies to create a good working relationship to be able to strike good negotiations for transportation of goods and to prevent hiccups that may arise. ● Give clear directions and guidelines to shipping agents about the nature of goods and delivery locations and maintain communication with them to ensure that goods are not damaged on transit. ● Prepare invoices for orders and deliveries and Keep records of all shipping activities.
