Job Description

● Ensure adherence to NRC policies, handbooks, guidelines, SOP, and donor requirements. ● Implement delegated logistic functions portfolio according to the plan of action. ● Conduct and follow up on operational logistic activities. ● Support the administration of resources so that deliverables are achieved within set budgets, timelines, and standards. ● Prepare and develop logistic reports as required by the country or area office. ● Ensure proper filing of all support documents. ● Promote and share ideas for improvement of the logistic function. ● Promote the rights of refugees and displaced in line with the NRC strategy. ● Identify and report protection needs and gaps, explore and propose new and safer ways to assist. Specific responsibilities: ● Conduct purchasing and procurement projects, as well as sourcing. ● Act as a logistics officer in organizing and facilitating bid committee meetings in accordance with the logistics handbook and SOP. ● Asset or inventory management and car fleet, company car(s) management. ● Premises management: warehouse/stock, office, guesthouse (in case). ● Assist in ensuring procurement plans are developed and implemented efficiently. ● Support the development of framework agreements and prequalification of suppliers. ● Managed logistics supplier lists, including performance monitoring, market survey, and collaboration on developing and enforcing all required logistics standard operations procedures for NRC Iran operations.

Requirements

Professional competencies 1.1. Generic professional competencies for this position: ● Logistics working experience, preferably in a humanitarian/ recovery context. ● Expertise in asset management, car fleet, warehouse, and supply chain management. ● Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts. ● Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities. ● Fluency in English and Farsi, both written and verbal. 1.2. Context/specific skills, knowledge, and experience: ● University degree, preferably, in Industrial Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or similar fields. ● ICT knowledge. ● Contribution experience in emergency response is a valuable asset. ● Working experience with suppliers is an asset. ● Valid driving license. ● Experience in ERP systems is an asset. 2. Behavioral competencies: ● Planning and delivering results. ● Handling insecure environments. ● Working with people. ● Communicating with impact and respect. ● Coping with change. ● Analyzing.
