The legal, compliance and quality team at Novo Nordisk will play a crucial role in ensuring the company’s business goals are met and in compliance with government regulations for the best practice. This position directly reports to the Vice President and General Manager of Iran.

The position
In this role, you will hold overall accountabilities for legal, compliance and quality mindset in Iran and ensure that we comply with laws and regulations and never compromise on business ethics or quality. The main scope of accountabilities includes but is not limited to:

• Manage developing, implementing, and continually evaluating the Legal, Compliance and Quality strategy independent review, interpret, evaluate, and analyses relevant laws and regulations for Italy. Evaluate legal risks and provide assessment and risk mitigation plan to the Iranian management team, applicable Novo Nordisk Region, Novo Nordisk A/S (Novo Nordisk Engineering), applicable Region General Counsel and Global Legal Board.
• Provide fast, high-quality, and business-oriented day-to-day Legal, Compliance and acknowledgment Quality aid to Line of Business (LoB) in Iran and proactive and reactive legal advice to the Iranian management team, applicable Novo Nordisk Region, and Novo Nordisk A/S regarding relevant legal and reputational risks.
• Assist in and coordinate projects, acquisitions, strategic alliances, co-marketing, and co-promotion agreements in co-operation with Corporate Legal, Global Legal, and applicable Novo Nordisk Region and provide strategic direction and primary oversight for all claims, litigation matters, disputes, and arbitrations within Iran (both proactively and defensively).
• Brief management on potential responses and mitigating strategies and provide high-quality advice on Business Ethics, Compliance and Quality issues and local aid to staff by training, advice, communication, and other methods, as appropriate. Identify and manage key Business Ethics and Compliance risks (including internal and external investigations) in collaboration with Group Internal Audit (GIA), Business Ethics Compliance Office (BECO) and Legal, Quality and Compliance. Advise on strategic and operational Business Ethics and compliance issues, including compliance risk assessment, compliance strategy and policy, compliance training and education, and manage, handle and report compliance, investigations, as appropriate.
• Establishing and maintaining high-quality standards in compliance with Novo Nordisk and external requirements and management of quality audit plan, drive Quality Management Review (QMR) assessment and presentation to the Iranian management team. Manage Novo Nordisk Quality System, recalls, deviations, and record management member of the Crisis Team as per standard operating system (SOP) and serve as primary point-of-contact with outside counsel regarding evaluation and development of mitigating strategies in Iran.
