Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced insurance expert to join our team as we scale our company's warranty and guarantee program in the Iranian cellphone market. As a leading player in the industry, we aim to provide exceptional product and service experiences to our customers. The insurance expert will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial viability and success of our warranty and guarantee products by utilizing their expertise in risk assessment, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement actuarial models to assess risks associated with warranty and guarantee products.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of historical data, market trends, customer behavior, and other relevant factors to determine pricing strategies for warranty products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, finance, and legal departments to design innovative warranty solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring profitability.
- Evaluate the financial impact of different warranty scenarios by performing scenario analysis, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warranty claims experience, loss ratios, reserve adequacy, and profitability.
- Provide recommendations for optimizing pricing structures based on actuarial analysis findings.
- Collaborate with external partners such as reinsurers or insurance providers to manage risk exposure effectively.
- Stay updated with industry regulations related to warranties and guarantees; ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on actuarial findings for senior management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience working as an Actuarial Expert within the insurance or warranty industry; experience in the cellphone market is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of actuarial principles including risk assessment methodologies, statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression analysis), and financial mathematics.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and tools (e.g., SAS, R, Excel) for data analysis and modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present actuarial findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in calculations and analysis.
- Professional certifications such as Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA) will be an advantage.
