Job Description

Job Overview:

The HSE Supervisor, based at Shadabad Operations Centre, is responsible for leading and improving health, safety, environmental and operational hygiene performance across Shadabad Operations Centre (Fresh products warehouse), Badamak Operations Centre (Large Items warehouse), Offline Markets, Online Markets, Tehran Dark Stores, and Shoorabad Operations Centre. The role directly reports to the HSE Manager and supervises one HSE team member based at Badamak plus six Rescue Team members: three at Shadabad and three at Badamak. The position combines multi-site HSE leadership with hands-on control of large-item logistics safety, fresh/food storage and cold-room hygiene, environmental health, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise HSE performance across Shadabad, Badamak, Shoorabad, Offline/Online Markets and Tehran Dark Stores through planned inspections, risk reviews, corrective-action tracking, and escalation of critical issues.
• Lead and coordinate HSE and Rescue Team coverage, including one HSE team member at Badamak and six Rescue Team members (3 Shadabad, 3 Badamak); set work plans, verify competence, inspect rescue equipment, conduct drills, and monitor readiness and performance.
• Own safety controls for Large Item logistics from vehicle loading/unloading through lifting, material-handling-equipment and forklift movements, load securing, floor/rack stacking, load stability, safe aisles, storage configuration, and retrieval/dispatch operations.
• Oversee HSE and hygiene controls for Fresh products and food storage, including cold rooms and refrigerators/freezers, cold-chain interfaces, housekeeping, slip prevention, electrical/refrigeration hazards, sanitation, segregation of damaged/expired products, and safe access/egress.
• Conduct environmental health and hygiene inspections of restaurants, catering providers and food-service/welfare areas, covering kitchen sanitation, food storage practices, potable water, pest control, waste management, cleaning/disinfection, and personnel hygiene; follow findings to closure.
• Manage risk assessments/JSA, permit-to-work, contractor HSE, fire prevention, emergency and rescue plans, traffic/pedestrian segregation, and incident/near-miss investigation with root-cause analysis and preventive/corrective actions.
• Prepare HSE KPIs, dashboards and management reports; deliver inductions, toolbox talks and targeted training; support audits and legal/company compliance; report directly to the HSE Manager and drive cross-site continual improvement.

Requirements:
• Strong practical knowledge of warehouse and logistics safety, especially Large Item operations, racking/stacking, load stability, loading docks, lifting, forklifts/pallet trucks, material-handling equipment, and vehicle/pedestrian traffic management.
• Good knowledge of Fresh/food storage, cold-room and refrigerator/freezer safety and hygiene, cold-chain control concepts, environmental health requirements, restaurant/catering inspection, and basic HACCP/food-hygiene principles.
• Demonstrated competence in emergency management and Rescue Team supervision, including fire prevention, first aid awareness, rescue planning, drills, emergency equipment readiness, and coordination during actual incidents.
• Ability to perform and review risk assessments, JSA, permits, SOP/method statements, contractor HSE documents, inspections, incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective/preventive action plans.
• Strong supervisory and leadership capability across dispersed sites: workforce planning, coaching, performance follow-up, decision making, escalation, and professional use of stop-work authority for imminent danger.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001/ISO 14001 principles, applicable HSE regulations, audit practices, HSE metrics and trend analysis; strong MS Office skills for Excel trackers, dashboards, statistics and PowerPoint reporting.
• Effective communication and influencing skills with Operations, Facilities, Supply Chain, Commercial teams, vendors and contractors; high field presence, attention to detail, resilience, and ability to work across shifts and multiple locations.
