Foreign Trade Sourcing Specialist
We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented Foreign Trade Sourcing Specialist to join our international procurement team.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in international sourcing, foreign trade, procurement, import, or commercial operations
• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field
• Good understanding of international sourcing and procurement processes
• Familiarity with import procedures, international logistics, customs clearance, and shipping documentation
• Knowledge of international trade terms and documents, including Incoterms, Proforma Invoice, Purchase Order, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and Certificate of Origin
• Familiarity with international payment methods, such as TT and LC, is an advantage
• Ability to research international markets, identify potential suppliers, and evaluate quotations based on price, quality, lead time, technical specifications, and commercial terms
• Strong negotiation and supplier communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, quotation comparison, and reporting
• Good written and spoken English
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify commercial discrepancies, supply risks, and potential delivery issues
• Highly organized, proactive, responsible, and persistent in following up on tasks
• Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new regulations, systems, markets, and business practices
• Flexibility to undertake domestic or international business travel when required
What We Are Looking For
We are not simply looking for someone who can collect quotations and issue purchase orders. We want someone who understands the commercial and operational impact of sourcing decisions—not just the administrative process.
The ideal candidate will:
• Identify reliable international suppliers and evaluate them based on commercial, technical, quality, and delivery criteria
• Analyze quotations and commercial terms carefully and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ask the right questions and clarify requirements before proceeding with purchases
• Negotiate effectively with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and Incoterms
• Identify potential supply, logistics, and commercial risks early and follow through until they are resolved
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other external stakeholders
• Take ownership of sourcing activities and ensure timely follow-up on orders, shipments, and documentation
• Adapt quickly to changing market conditions, import regulations, and business requirements
• Work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
