Generic responsibilities: - Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines Implement delegated Education project portfolio according to the plan of action - Prepare and develop status reports as required by management - Ensure proper filing of documents - Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of education support provided according to the project and program design, taking into account any specified - beneficiary criteria, explore and assess new and better ways to assist in an ongoing capacity - Promote and share ideas for technical improvement - Promote the rights of refugees and displaced persons in line with the advocacy strategy - Identify and report education needs and gaps in addition to other needs and gaps observed as relevant, explore and propose new and safer ways to assist Specific responsibilities: - Ensure development and follow up the activities planned for the project under supervision of Education Coordinator and in collaboration with other Education colleagues considering local context, priorities, opportunities and needs; - Ensure the implementation of program components/activities at the local level under the supervision of the Education Coordinator, in close collaboration with the - communities, partners, and local authorities considering local context, needs, and priorities; - Conduct regular follow up on projects through meetings, focus group discussions, interviews, or other modalities as appropriate under the supervision of the Education - Coordinator to ensure timely implementation of activities and prepare inputs for status and progress reports, analysis, proposals, etc.; - Participate in field assessments considering local context, needs, and priorities; - Assist project coordinator with all phases of project’s life cycle and break down the annual operational plans into weekly, monthly, and quarterly implementation plans - Contribute in the identification of new projects and new areas of intervention regarding the needs and priorities based on the context; - Attend technical cooperation meetings with NRC’s counterparts in the Education field, prepare notes and undertake follow-up action and coordination related to project implementation and monitoring;

Requirements

Generic professional competencies: - Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts - Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities - Fluency in English and native proficiency in Persian, written and spoken - Previous experience in consideration of specific needs and obstacles faced by different demographic groups, such as gender, age, displacement status, disability status Context/ Specific skills, knowledge, and experience: - Previous experience in working with NGOs is an asset; - Previous experience working with children; designing education activities or other supportive activities for children; and/or working in the education sector is an asset - Ability to provide technical solutions, produce good quality reports in English and Persian, and conducting high-quality technical analysis and assessment according to the deadlines; - Good knowledge of displacement context in the region and project cycle management. - Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Behavioral competencies: - Planning and delivering results - Empowering and building trust - Communicating with impact and respect - Handling insecure environment - Influencing - Working with People
